The 10 hours night time driving requirement for learner drivers will be increased to 20 hours with the introduction to be most likely in November. This is unofficial advice at this stage. There has been no official communication as yet. VicRoads would like us to encourage learners to increase their night time hours as part of the staged approach to learning to drive. Learners who already have their learner permit will still only need to do the 10 hours. Those obtaining learner permits after the November date will need 20 hours as part of their log book.
